FM 2016 Icelandic Youth Academy Challenge Part 3

Welcome to part 3 of our Icelandic youth academy challenge on football manager 2016. We have just played the first league game of the season, where we won the game 4-1. I am very pleased with this result, not only because I have recently changed the tactics that I am playing with, but one of our academy players who came through last season got himself a couple of goals.

Heimir Guðmundsson is by far the best player who came into our academy last season, I have been very pleased with how he has performed so far and at just 16 years old, I am putting lots of pressure on him already.

Unfortunately at the moment in my team, I don't have any players to tutor him and as I can only use players who are coming through my academy, the chances of be getting rid of his unambitious personality are very slim indeed.

At the start of the Icelandic season there is a mini cup competition, which is set up as a league format at the start of it and then moving onto a knockout stage. Last season we didn't manage to win any games and we finished the league with 4 points. This season, we made progress by winning 2 games and finished with 7 points. The board are only expecting us to not show ourselves up in this competition, so I am just happy to do much better than last season.

In the next update, we would have played a few more league games and we can then check to see how some of our youth players are progressing.
