FM 2016 Icelandic Youth Academy Challenge Part 1
Based in the Icelandic fishing town of Hornafjörður are a club by the name of UMF Sindri Höfn. I have always been interested in doing a youth academy challenge on
football manager 2016. For those of you who are not familiar with this challenge, the aim is to buy no players, either on loan or transfer. My only method of bringing players into the team will be through the clubs youth academy.
The currently club facilitys are not exactly fantastic, but hopefully over a few seasons we can look to improve upon this.

In terms of players currently at the club, there are a few good Icelandic players. Junior, who is 18 seems to have an eye for goal. There is also a good Spanish midfielder, who I will need to try and keep hold of for as long as possible until my academy gets some decent enough players through.
We have played a number of games this season, at the beginning, while we were trying to find our feet, results were not great but lately we have managed to get a number of wins and are in a good position in the league. We have also had our first batch of youth players through. I am happy with the potential of the players, with most of them being 15-16 years old, I will need to be careful to not burn the players out too young. The current squad was in need of some decent defenders and I have been lucky enough to get a few good prospects through.
We will be looking to keep progressing the club, trying to develop the youth players we have got through the academy and we will see how far we can get with this team. I am very happy with the start we have made though.
