Football Manager | How to start winning games

So your playing football manager and your currently on a losing run of matches, your trying everything you can but nothing seems to be working. What can you do? We provide 4 things you can try to put an end to your losing streak.

Play it safe and simple

Make sure to keep things simple, try to not panic and change your tactics too soon. It takes time for your team to adjust to new tactics, try and keep things simple and your team should learn how you want them to play. Remember to develop a system of playing that suites the players you have at your club, work with the players you have and try and bring new players in over time.

Work on morale

Morale is vital on football manager, having high morale will help your team to turn results around, if you have not read our blog on morale, this will be a good place to start.

Change tactics

A solid defense should be the most important thing to focus on when building your team, if you are a tough team to break down, then you are less likely to lose games, just think about how Tony Pulis turned Crystal Palace around by making them tough to beat. Work on your defense and results will start to change. This can be a long process, try and get working on this as soon as possible. Remember to keep tactics simple though.

Form Management

It may sound simple but if someone is not playing well and his form has dipped, it can be a good idea to drop them from the team, regardless of if they are a key player for you. You will be surprised at the results if you put in a young player who has good form and morale, through this process you may even unearth the potential ability of your youth players to allow them to develop quicker.
