Football Manager Youth Intake Guide What To Do
Football Manager Youth Intake Guide Video
Released on YouTube is our football manager youth intake guide, this guide talks you through the steps I take when the new regens come through your youth academy, I discuss how I put the better youth players into my first team, so they can be tutored, trained and so I can keep an eye on their match time.
This football manager youth intake guide discusses the importance of making sure your young players are tutored by the correct players, they are given the correct training early in their career and that they are given the correct match time, whether this be in the under 18 team, your first team or on loan at another team. The level of game time a youth player receives is vital to their development as a player, mostly they will improve their mental attributes, as all football managers will know though, mental attributes are vital for creating wonderkids and great players for your club.
Also shown on our football manager youth intake guide is the wonderkids I have created on my current FM 2014 save file with Barnsley, now in the Premier League, I have installed a culture of developing youth players and have given them the tools to develop at our club, within the next few seasons, I hope we will start to produce our own regens to develop into first team regulars.
You will see that many of the players currently at the football club are young and they are improving all the time, I provide you with information on how I train players, generally I put them on a training schedule that is based upon their best position and I rotate this with putting them on a training schedule that focuses on one key attribute for their position, for example, if you have a target man, I would put him on a training schedule "target man", then after about 6 months of this, I would focus on a key attribute, may be strength or finishing, when he improves this attribute for his position, I will then change his training so he is back on his normal "target man" training schedule.
Our video guide should hopefully provide guidance on all you need to know about developing your youth intake, I would like to hear your comments though, so please do post them below if you have any questions.
