Football Manager 2017 Match Engine
The football manager 2017 beta has been released and we now are able to review the FM17 match engine for ourselves. The match engine on football manager should be one of the games better selling points. I personally still watch my games in 2D due to being able to see how my tactics are working better. For football manager 2016 two of the main aspects of the match engine that people did not like were the way goalkeepers acted and the power of crosses.
The behaviour of goalkeepers was strange to say the least and there were a lot of times when the AI would cross a ball and it would end up in the back of your net. I do believe that with reviewing your tactics carefully you could make some changes to the number of crosses the AI scored against your team.
Goalkeepers and crosses were two things that HAVE to be improved for football manager 2017. From what I have seen so far the movement of the goalkeepers looks better, but I have not had enough time to check out how powerful crosses are on the game.
