Football Manager 2015 Southampton guide

The story of Southampton football club is a very interesting one, having been in the Premier League from it creation, they have had some great players at the club, the likes of Alan Shearer and Matt Le Tissier spring to mind. The 2004-05 season saw them relegated from the Premier League, the first few seasons in the Championship they had challenged in the league and had finished 6th in the 2006-07 season. It was the 2008-2009 season which saw Southampton relegated to League 1. These were dark times for Southampton FC, considering they were a well established Premier League club for many seasons. The 2012-2013 season was the time Southampton returned back to the Premier League and with their academy they have managed to make money on transfers and on FM 2015 Southampton are a very strong team. Southampton are a great club with a newer stadium, and they had opened up a new training ground this year to further help with the development of their players.

The Southampton fc academy has developed players such as Gareth Bale, Adam Lallana and Theo Walcott. It is a very established academy and a model that alot of clubs are looking to copy, they offer gifted football players a way into the first team, the benefits are it will benefit Southampton when these players are playing for the first team and if they do need to move these players on, they can sell them on for a very large profit to invest further into the club and into the academy, it is an excellent way to run a football club.

Football Manager 2015 Southampton squad

The Southampton squad on FM 2015 is very strong considering the number of players they move on during the last summer transfer window. Pelle, a strong physical target man has been a great addition to the squad. Jay Rodriguez is another very good player who made his England debut on the 8th of February 2011. The main focus with Southampton is to keep producing youth players into the first team and to keep developing the way the club playing their football. There has been a development of football at Southampton that is a passing attractive style of football.

Football Manager 2015 Southampton tactic

football manager 2015 tactics southampton

Creating a tactic for Southampton on football manager 2015, you need to be making the most of the wide areas, Tadic has a crossing attribute of 18, so this is perfect for a target man such as Pelle. The midfield trio of Ward-Prowse, Schneiderlin and Wanyama is very dynamic, you have the creativity of Ward-Prowse the engine of Schneiderlin and the strength of Wanyama. This is an excellent set up for a midfield trio. To create Southampton best tactics its a good idea to retain possession and to pass the ball into space, the pace of Shane Long cutting in from the wing is going to be a valuable weapon when you are attacking and trying to score goals.
