When you are playing football manager, it can be a good idea to try and get a good target man for your team. The idea is a target man will look to bring other players into play. Personally I think a target man, as well as scoring goals, should be getting a number of assists. If a target man is doing his role as intended, then he should be getting assists.

Make the most of this by floating the ball across to him so you can make the most of his heading attributes. Remember a target man is meant to bring other players into play, so if he can use his head to do this, then make the most of this attribute.If you do have a target man who is better with his feet then you can play the ball to his feet by using low crosses. I also tend to make sure that I am getting my wingers and full backs to cross directly to my target man to make the most of him.
