Football Manager 2016 Chelsea
Football Manager 2016 Chelsea |
Chelsea football club are the current Champions of the Premier League, at the time of writing this they have recently sacked Jose Mourinho following a poor start to the season. Many people have said that player power was the cause of Jose leaving Chelsea. From an outsiders view, it does certainly look to be this way.
If you are playing as Chelsea on football manager 2016, then you will inherit a very good team. There are a number of areas where the squad needs to be improved, but in general you will have a very good team.
Best Chelsea Players
Diego Costa - Although known for his aggression on the football pitch, if Costa does focus on actually playing football, then you have a very good striker. Of course you do need to make the most of Costa's physical attributes to get the best out of him. I would like Costa to take more of a central role when playing in the strikers role, you should be able to get him to do this if you play him as a target man. It would be a good idea to use him in the support role so he can drop deeper to play in either Hazard on the left side or someone like Willian on the right side.Eden Hazard - Last seasons player of the year, Hazard, who is best on the left wing. You are able to use Eden Hazard as an inside forward and personally I do think that is his best role. With his direct running and dribbling attributes, you do need to make the most of these attributes.
Thibaut Courtois - The makings of all good football teams always have a great goalkeeper. With Courtois Chelsea have a great goalkeeper, who could be there for the next 10 years. He is very tall, but has good agility. He is also very composed and these are great attributes to have for a goalkeeper.
Best Chelsea Wonderkids
Dominic Solanke - Skillful winger Solanke, will be on loan if you do start a game save file as Chelsea. So long as he is getting enough game time, it will aid his development for when he comes back to Chelsea. It will be difficult to give him chances in the first team, with the likes of Hazard on the wing and with Willian on the wing also. If you are able to play him in the odd game and give him as many starts as possible, this will aid his development.Ruben Loftus-Cheek - He does need to get in some game time in order to improve, but physically he is ready for first team football. He looks to be an all round footballer, someone who can see a pass and put his foot into a tackle. If you manage Chelsea on FM 2016, you will need to make sure you try and give him as much gametime as possible. If not at Chelsea, then make sure you loan him out to a club in the Championship. He is ready for first team football, so make sure he gets it.
Kurt Zouma - With John Terry coming to the end of his Chelsea career, Zouma does look to be the perfect replacement. He is quick and does have great physical attributes. He is very good at heading and has good composure for a young defender. It will be important to make the most of John Terry if you are managing Chelsea, Terry can be used to tutor Zouma.
Best Chelsea Tactics
Coming soon!Who should you sign for Chelsea on FM 2016?
Center Back - I do believe with John Terry getting older, Chelsea will need a center back. They did try to sign John Stones during the Summer transfer window and this is the player I would look to sign if managing Chelsea. With him being English, this is exactly what Chelsea need at the back. A partnership of Zouma and Stones in 3-4 years time would be a fantastic partnership for Chelsea at the back.Midfielder - Chelsea do have some good central midfielders in the team, but I do think they are lacking something in the middle. Matic can be good at tackling and helping out the defense, generally Ramires has good energy in the middle and then you have the vision and passing skills of Fabregas. I feel Chelsea do need a midfielder who could do all three of these roles and someone who is younger in the middle. I do think if given the time then Ruben Loftus-Cheek might have the potential to do this. It seems that although Jose sang his praises at the beginning of the season, he was not given the game time he should have been getting. With a new manager coming in, Ruben might be able to get more game time and be able to improve.
Striker - Chelsea do of course have a very good striker in Diego Costa, but they could do with trying to sign a younger striker who they could look to develop. Potentially someone like Harry Kane might be a good signing for Chelsea, it would be good if they could sign an English striker. I do think Chelsea play better with a strong target man, someone like Drogba in his Prime. Of course they did have Romelu Lukaku, but decided to sell him to Everton. I think he is exactly the type of player that they need currently.
