4 things you must do after signing a new player on FM 2015 |
Develop a training schedule
For me training is one of the most important things to focus on for your players development. You might have signed a good youth player with poor stamina, I would suggest you get him training on his stamina right away. If you have a winger who is pretty well developed, then it would be a good idea to put him on a training schedule to maintain his attributes for being a winger. What ever the situation, just make sure you do put your new player on a training schedule to make sure it is good for the stage of his career.
Make sure they are match fit
You might decide to sign a player who will go straight into your starting line up, is the player fit and ready to be used straight away? Its always a good idea before playing any player to check out their match fitness, their morale and their condition. You are risking alot if any of these things are not as good as they can be and it will have a big impact on if your player can hit the ground running.
Review tutoring
It does not matter if you sign a young player or an older players, you need to get the new member of your squad involved in tutoring straight away. So the first thing to do is, if you have signed a younger player, get his tutored by someone with a good personality to make sure he can reach his potential or if you have signed an older player, can they help your youth team players develop? Either way you need to get the ball rolling straight away. Get this going as soon as the new play joins.
Create an action plan for development
Every player will need a development plan, so if you have signed a good young player with decent physical attributes but poor personality, it could be a good idea to have him tutored and then send him out on loan. If you have a 20 year old, try and give him "10 starts" a season to develop him. You need to have development goals for every player, long, medium and short term. So short term might be - make sure X plays in this weekends game. Medium term, make sure X is starting 1 game in 3 and then the long term goal might be to develop a player into a regular first teamer within 3 seasons.
I highly recommend making notes on your player development and their goals, they are easy to review and you can update them as much as possible.
